What has happened so far?
St Johns County Commission approved our resolution to
request
matching State funds for a Feasibility Study, which is the necessary
first step to identify erosion causes, predict trends, and propose
viable solutions.
Expected State Funds of $140,000 would match our
Association’s private funds for the study, reducing our costs
by $140,000; that means we need to raise $140,000 plus cost of
administrative expenses.
The Feasibility Study will study the entire stretch
of
beach from the southern end of Guana in the 2300 block of South Ponte
Vedra Blvd south all the way to the St Augustine Inlet.
The Study will investigate the role of the St Augustine Inlet and
jetty.
If there is a possibility that you might be interested in
making a contribution but would like to
learn before doing so, please contact us. We will be happy to share our
plan of action, where we are currently at on that plan of
action, and how you can help.
